Tonya is a college educated, INA Credentialed Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist, CAPPA trained postpartum Doula, and Parent Educator who does both consulting and in-home sleep conditioning for her clients, teaches Nationally and Internationally and mentors new Newborn Care Specialists. Tonya attended CWU, has over 30 years of experience as a Nanny and Newborn Care Specialist and business owner. She is a proud wife and mother of two. She is a certified Eco-Maternity Consultant and Green Birth Educator and founded Baby Go Green, Inc. in 2012. She is a founding member and serves on the advisory board for The Baby Dream Team, a group of dedicated Newborn Care Specialists who offer their services as volunteers to families around the country experiencing the birth of higher order multiples. Tonya serves as an Executive Board Member for the INA as well as chairing their Newborn Care Specialist Committee and serving on the Member committee. She is a local chapter co-President for DEMA, and the recipient of the 2016 and 2017 DEMA Educator of the Year, and the 2017 DEMA Lifetime Achievement Award, and a supporting member of APNA. Tonya has taken her love of teaching others and turned it into a full-time business and her company, Newborn Care Solutions, dedicated to the training of Newborn Care Specialists and helping families adjust to life with their newborn baby, has taken off! In her spare time, Tonya loves to read, cook, knit and scuba dive around the world. Recently, one of her lifelong dreams was fulfilled when she had the opportunity to go diving in French Polynesia with Manta Rays and Jean-Michele Cousteau, son of world famous scuba pioneer, Jacque Cousteau.
