Brain Development for Nannies: Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences

This roundtable introduces Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences theory and how it applies to young children’s development. We’ll focus on the seven original intelligences—linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal—and discuss what each one looks like in everyday nanny work.

Participants will explore simple, intentional activities that help nurture each intelligence and share real-life examples from their own experiences. Through brief hands-on moments and open conversation, we’ll look at how to recognize a child’s strengths and support their unique ways of learning.

This discussion offers practical, easy-to-apply ideas that nannies can bring back to their daily routines to encourage well-rounded development.
