Advocating for Industry Standards – All Things Contracts

This workshop gives nannies the knowledge and confidence to advocate for fair, professional, and consistent employment standards across the industry. Together, we’ll break down what “industry standards” truly mean—guaranteed hours, PTO, paid holidays, professional development, and other essential components of a strong work agreement. Participants will explore how to approach initial contracts, navigate renewals, and find compromises that support both caregivers and families. The session also covers strategies for communicating expectations clearly, advocating for yourself with professionalism, and strengthening the broader nanny community through informed, empowered conversations. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of contract essentials and the tools to champion equitable standards in every role they take on.
