Culturally Responsive Caregiving
During early childhood, children learn almost everything through relationships. As professionals, our work in responsive caregiving requires us to navigate and support families as they raise their children. We understand that each family has a unique view of social and emotional development; early mental health, comfort, and ideas about development may be very different from our own. This workshop explores how we support families as we recognize the cultural nature of development and how to support culturally respectful dialogues with families as we support children’s development.
